I’ve recently switched to MailChimp for email delivery of the new posts. MailChimp describes itself as an email marketing tool. What sets MailChimp apart from similar tools, is the many many options for configuring campaigns, email lists and reports. All of this in a very user-friendly interface. Instead of FeedBurner’s very sparse mails, subscribers to Streamhead will now receive a nicely laid out, weekly email, summarizing all the activity on the site.

This weekend, I finally brought The Couch TVs frontpage up to date. It had been broken for a while, ever since my little YouTube ActionScript 3 hack stopped working. Since YouTube announced their ActionScript 3.0 player, a few months ago, there is no need for a hack anyway. Now there is a clean way to integrate YouTube in your ActionScript 3 programs.

WAMP is a software package that runs in Windows and includes an Apache HTTP Server, the MySQL database and PHP running on the server. If you want the cheapest way to run a website, it is probably the way to go. Although the LAMP version (which runs on Linux) might save you just a few more bucks.
