More …If you haven’t heard of the DZone Refcardz and you are a developer, consider this your Christmas present. From me to you. DZone has been producing those little cheat sheets for a while now and they have built up a pretty nice collection. Each refcard contains a condensed overview of a certain piece of technology or paradigm. In most cases, they can serve both as starting point if you want to learn or as a reference if you already know your stuff.
More …I’ve always stayed away from eBooks, certainly the paid ones. It never felt natural to read them on a screen. But with Manning running a few great promotions, I thought I’d go for it and bought me a book or two on the cheap. Now, about reading them.
More …2010 is almost here and I like to end 2009 with a clean slate. One of those slates that needs cleaning is my starred items in Google Reader. I tend to star everything that looks like it might be interesting. The idea is that I can back to it later when I have a little more time. One item I found on that list is gSkinner’s Flash applet that plays perfectly good MP3 files as if it were slightly damaged vinyl records.
More …As part of my digitization and cleanup effort, I’m going through a lot of documents. One document I discovered is an old printout of a Coffeecrew tutorial. The document on Facelets, Seam, NetBeans and Glassfish was their first and last foray into English howto’s. Which is too bad, because it is high quality and has very good writing.
